Happy Easter Bilby Day

P1020619.ypfrbGhYVcRf.jpg
Happy Easter! We are celebrating Easter at a mooring in Bundaberg, eating the traditional Chocolate Bilby. (A Bilby is an Australian Marsupial roughly equivalent to a bunny.)

This purchase contributes to the ‘Save the Bilby’ Fund. Like most small Australian Marsupials, the endangered Bilby is being out-competed (or simply eaten) by introduced and feral species.

Back in Bundy

DSC_0016.xz67IPE3svmh.jpg
After the weather cleared we had five days of 5-10 knot winds and calm seas. We were able to dive everyday all around the reef slope outside the atoll. The conditions were so good I took my camera down again - Ginger’s been the only one photographing for some time.

The breeze is expected to pick up this weekend as another high pressure area heads in, so we left today to travel to Bundy in quiet conditions. We’ll be here a week or so, to re-supply and to finally decide what we’re doing next. The first boat task is to replace our 8 house batteries which have been slowly dying during our stay at Lady Musgrave!
